Publish date: 08/06/2010

The „Research Group Environmental Psychology“, located at the University of Magdeburg (Germany) is headed Prof. Dr. Petra Schweizer-Ries, represents the chair for Sustainability Science at the Saarland University (Germany).

The Research Group would be very much interested in participating in this year’s call for proposals by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme and to contribute to existing initiatives with our socio-scientific expertise in the field of energy. The Research Group has over the years gathered significant, high quality experience in the socio-scientific aspects of energy use, mainly focusing on end-users and political actors. Prof. Schweizer-Ries has produced internationally renowned research for almost 20 years on the above mentioned topics, while she has also managed various projects concerning human attitudes and behaviour towards renewable energies, energy efficiency, rational use of resources etc.

The Research Group has managed various EU-projects (e.g. FINSH in the IEE-Programme), and wish to contribute again this year, especially in the following IEE 2010 – priorities: SAVE and the INTEGRATED INITIATVES.
